Faba-mono icon replacement bug #18

There's an issue with Faba on Gnome Shell 3.13. Some of the icons are replaced by others, such as the RSS feed icon (as you can see in this particular example). It's really annoying, and reinstalling Faba, Faba-mono and Moka didn't fix things. screenshot from 2014-09-20 18 48 58 The picture above should give you an example as to where the bug manifests itself, although it's occasionally occuring elsewhere.

Also, another thing - The status icons appear to be dark? I'm not using faba-mono-dark - and even switching to it and abck doesn't change that. Just a little odd. Maybe it's related? I'm not sure.

I'm using Fedora.

Well on GNOME shell you wouldn't need Faba-Mono.

I tried uninstalling faba-mono-icons, but it doesn't help - I'm left with Faba that only have action icons, or Moka with no app icons.

Are you using vanilla GNOME?

zesterer commented 9 years ago

Yes... Originally I was using Gnome 3.10 and it worked fine, but after updating to 3.13, it's decided not to work. Possibly an issue with Gnome I guess - but more likely they've introduced some new features that break backward compatbility? Wouldn't surprise me. Gnome have a reputation for doing that...
