Theme broken in the last update. #6

The folder icons are still functioning normally, but the icons for applications are Gnome default: Faba, Faba Dark, Light Faba, Faba mixt.

Also this is occurring with the theme icons Moka. Should I create an issue in its repository?

snwh commented 10 years ago

Faba-Dark Faba-Light & Faba-Mixt have been replaced with Faba-Mono

snwh commented 10 years ago

Don't worry issues get reported all over the place, so long as I see it somewhere it's okay.

danielsanfr commented 10 years ago

Alright. And thanks for the reply. I'm using exactly this Faba-Mono, because it was what worked :).

It would be nice to recommend that you uninstall and reinstall the themes to avoid this problem.

And congratulations for the great job with all of these projects.

snwh commented 10 years ago

I do, but it's hard to propagate that message to all users.

danielsanfr commented 10 years ago

Hello I just realized that the icons indicators are just white. This is a problem when using with a white theme, before a theme was black icons.

snwh commented 10 years ago

Yeah, they're designed for a dark-panelled theme. The old mono icons exist as a fork: https://github.com/snwh/chau-mono-icons

danielsanfr commented 10 years ago

Cool :). But it will have some support from moka project? Or yours?

snwh commented 10 years ago

They were pretty complete mono themes, but I have no plans to support them further. I made the sources a fork in case someone else may want to take responsibility of them.

Hi guys. For those of you who are using a white pannel and thus having problem with Faba-mono, here is a simple fix. In my case I needed to install only the moka-icon-theme package. By default this also install some Faba icons but not the whole Faba icon sets. Now, in the Moka icons folder, open index.theme with gedit and change the line 4 to something like this: Inherits=ubuntu-mono-light,Faba In this way you will keep the apps icon of Moka and you will use the ubuntu-mono-light icons for the pannel and you folders. In my case I have a McOSX theme installed and I use it instead of ubuntu-mono-light. For the devellopers, why did you remove the Faba-light? Not everybody is using a dark pannel.

snwh commented 10 years ago

Because it's be redesigned to support Moka Project themes. The work to maintain several monochrome icon sets just to give support to all themes is needless. I want to both, keep the Moka experience cohesive, in that the entire theme stack compliments each other. In doing so, I've let so some unnecessary baggage.
