Increase resolution for increase/decrease volume notification in gnome-shell #151

Open frandieguez opened 10 years ago

frandieguez commented 10 years ago

While using Ubuntu with gnome-shell 3.12 if you push the increase/decrease volume keys in my keyboard gnome-shell shows a notification for those events.

Moka icon theme seems that doesn't have high resolution icons for those events and the volume notification looks really bad with them.

The notifications (as well as all of) GNOME shell uses the *-symbolic icons, so resolution shouldn't be an issue. Have you also installed faba-mono-icons? If so they overwrite some of the symbolic icons.

frandieguez commented 10 years ago

@snwh yep, you're right. I've purged the faba-icon-theme and the issue is fixed.

Thanks!

snwh commented 10 years ago

Not faba-icon-theme, faba-mono-icons

frandieguez commented 10 years ago

@snwh well, I've purged faba-icon-theme and the issue was fixed too. So, maybe this implies that faba-icon-theme has an issue

snwh commented 10 years ago

Did you reinstall Faba icon theme?

frandieguez commented 10 years ago

I've just tested reinstalling Faba and now the issue seems to be fixed. Quite strange.

I have the same error in gnome 3.14

GeorgeSapkin commented 9 years ago

Same issue here on Fedora 21 x64 with Gnome 3.14.1. faba-mono-icons is not installed.

Seems to be fixed in latest version (5.0.8).
