I was expecting that Gnome panel icon battery Screenshot from 2019-11-15 15-34-03 will be changed to the one seen in the screenshot of https://snwh.org/suru haha123

Is this battery Icon not part of suru icons theme?

The screenshot that I'm referring to: 123

Ugh... I found them. But still unsure why after enabling suru icons theme, the battery icon is the same original Gnome Battery. https://github.com/snwh/suru-icon-theme/tree/master/Suru/scalable/status Screenshot from 2019-11-15 16-21-08

I found the Gnome icon theme - Adwaita I talked about.
Still trying to figure out how to enable Suru battery icon. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/adwaita-icon-theme/tree/master/Adwaita/scalable/status

Suru icons theme on this repository might be outdated. That's why battery icon is staying the same. Probably the naming of battery icon does not match the required naming of the latest Gnome.

Installing Suru++ seems to offer the correctly named battery icon. https://github.com/gusbemacbe/suru-plus/tree/master/Suru%2B%2B

git clone https://github.com/gusbemacbe/suru-plus.git mv "suru-plus/Suru++" "/usr/share/icons/"

And enabling it via Gnome Tweaks or gsettings, seems to fix the problem.

The notice: on the one hand it has fixed battery icon. However the programs icons looks way different than the original Suru.

I'm attaching a screenshot to see how the icons look with Suru++ Screenshot from 2019-11-15 19-23-54

The latest version of original Suru can be found as a package from Ubuntu:
https://packages.ubuntu.com/eoan/suru-icon-theme

And can be installed via this command: sudo apt install suru-icon-theme

However: it does not look like a latest version at all.
It looks like older than the one from this repository.

For now, Suru++ is the only one that contains Status icons correctly.

The supposed "latest version by Ubuntu package" looks like a very very outdated or incomplete. Here is a screenshot. Screenshot from 2019-11-15 19-58-18

This one has been tested as well: https://github.com/Bonandry/suru-plus-ubuntu The same problem with battery icon as in the first post.

oof, it seems that Ubuntu's Suru latest version is named Yaru. This is probably a final solution. Simply use Yaru. https://github.com/ubuntu/yaru
