Admin Menu (hide & show) all links are deadlinks when clicked on

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. sign in as admin
2. click any of the links in the black bar at the top
3. opens empty page

What is the expected output? I expect to see the content that the admin would 
see, however i woudlnt know what that is as I have neever seen it yet.
What do you see instead?
500 error page in chrome and blank in firefox and IE "the website cannot 
display page"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
using 2.6-r738 on XP servicepack3

Please provide any additional information below.
Dam...now i have to figure out how to install ffmpeg, flvtool2 and mp4box
I really like this thing..:(
