This is not a proper Pull Request.

This is my development branch dev's Draft PR just to run the CI on my development stuff while I am still playing with it.

The commits on the dev branch are subject to change, the dev branch is subject to force pushes, and the commits are intended to be picked and collected into proper separate PRs.
