The process to synchronize tools involves too much steps. In particular, if a tool changes the time bounds, for instance, you need to regenerate the other views to have them synchronized. In the case of a pie chart, it will ask again to select a metric, which can be annoying.
My opinion is that we should propose to link definitively some views (for instance through a global setting, or by a dialog when generating a view from another), and each modification applied on one of them is automatically reported on the others that are "hardlinked".
