This is probably due to the fact that y axis resizes some sash forms, which triggers the redrawing of the main view several times.

Some solutions:

[ ] change the redraw mechanism of all the views (do not erase and redraw everything from scratch)
[ ] remove useless sash forms. Draw the axes directly in the main view.
