[Vmware/NGC] Storage Platform (OpenSDS) details shows status as 'current'

What happened: When we add OpenSDS as storage platform in vcenter webclient using NGC plugin status shows as current, which is does not convey any information about status of opensds. What you expected to happen: Status should be 'Available' if controller is reachable. How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible): Add Opensds in NGC.
