Regarding the Optimus plugin issue: Advanced methods for state estimation and parameter identification in SOFA #4934

Thank you very much for your development. Recently, I had the opportunity to use the plugin you developed, but I found that the latest version of the plugin corresponds to SOFA v21.12, while the latest version of SOFA is v24. So, may I ask if you can update this plugin. Also, since SOFA has developed a compiled version, may I ask how to use this plugin when using the already compiled version of SOFA? We look forward to your prompt reply!

Hi.

Regarding the update of the plugin for newest version of SOFA : we are a small team of developer for this open source project. The maintenance of all the plugins that are actually used by the community takes most of our time. We need to focus on what most of the community needs and so, if only one person is interested in an old plugin, we cannot take a lot of time on updating it.

This being said, because SOFA is an open-source project, you can contribute by updating it yourself and the making pul-requests to give you fix to the community ! Or wait that more people gain interest in the same plugin as yourself so that it becomes a priority for us.
