Stream using a non-personal computer? #1

It'd be great if we could do the streaming without having to tie up one of our laptops for several hours. Let's see if we can access some sort of UMD server resource or maybe use a long-running RStudio cloud session.

For today's game (Mar 3), I'm going to try to run a 24-hour stream starting at noon using one of the JPSM master's lab computers as well as my laptop as a backup, but in general I'm not confident that we can rely on those since they may reboot automatically at set times or may be rebooted by a master's student who needs to use them.

I tried running the streaming with RStudio Cloud on one of the JPSM lab computers, but I can't connect to the twitter API through RStudio Cloud, perhaps because of a firewall issue. However, streaming works fine using a basic RStudio session on the lab computer.

Sadly my attempts to get into GLUE or GRACE have failed, and TerpConnect seems to only have file storage and not applications. I don't think we can get access to the servers in time...

I have to think that the comprehensiveness of our data collection will not be seriously evaluated for this project but the computer lab is a good backup. We could probably put a sign up and it would be honored (especially with the spring breaks). Alternatively I really am fine with running it on my gaming PC at home for as long as needed.

Unfortunately, when I tried streaming on a lab computer for 24 hours, it was cutoff five hours in for some unknown reason and stopped streaming. So unless the group can agree upon some system of streaming before Sunday, we might just want to wait until you can access your extra PC at home.
