There is a setting 'unset image' in the section overlay settings to hide a background image on smaller screens. When you unset image for Tablet portait for example the image disaapears but if you move your mouse into the section the image re-appears.
To reproduce:
Create a section with an overlay image
In overlay / image settings choose Unset mask at Tablet portrait (or another screens size smaller than desktop)
Open the page with the section
Make the browser smaller so the viewport is in Tablet portrait
I you leave the mouse outside the browser window the image is hidden
If you move your mouse into the section with the overlay the image magically re-appears (it shouldn't do that)
