To reproduce the bug:
1) Breakdance -> Templates -> Edit in BD Single Post Template
2) Add Section -> Library -> Samba -> Author Bio -> Must Bottom one (Big image, rounded corners)
3) Edit the Big image (it is a background to a Column). Replace it with: Dynamic -> Author -> Author Avatar
The Avatar is not being displayed as background.
(Yes, the Avatar is configured properly with my install. If I add an image and make it Author -> Author Avatar, it works well)
