Tabs: Ability to change Active Tab Class and ID of Tab Contents Wrapper

Describe the feature you'd like to see included in Oxygen.

• I am presently trying to style tabs on different pages using a base style, but with a different background color for the active tab on different pages.
• Creating a block helps to replicate the tab with the base style on different pages, but the classes associated with the replicated tabs remain the same as the original page on which the block was created. This means when I change the colors for the replicated tabs on the second page, the colors on the first page change as well.
• I have tried duplicating the active and default tab classes that Oxygen Builder generates, and copying the styles over, but it looks like Oxygen builder does not recognise the new class names I am using.
• Looking at the HTML Oxygen builder generates, there seems to be two attributes in the Tabs wrapper which control:
  • data-oxy-tabs-active-tab-class : The class name to apply to active tabs.
  • data-oxy-tabs-contents-wrapper : The ID of the div containing the tab contents.
• I've installed a third party addon to help edit these Attributes, but it seems it is not capable of overwriting the above tab-related attributes set by Oxygen Builder.

As a solution, I'd like to propose two text fields in the Section > Tabs UI, one named Active Tab Class and the other named Tab Contents Wrapper ID. (perhaps underneath the "Add Another Tab" button)

What are the use cases for this feature?

• Customizing tab styling without having to resort to custom CSS
• Making blocks easier to reuse and customise when they contain tabs
• Exposing the "magic" which is presently hidden from the person styling the tabs. Currently the relationship between the Tabs and the Tab Contents is rather mysterious to the end user, who must recreate the whole tab set from scratch by adding a new set of tabs, applying styles manually, etc.

Examples of this feature or functionality. No examples of this feature in other products come to mind.

Have figured out a temporary workaround for this, which involves:

• Turning off the SHA256 verification by going to Oxygen > Settings in the Wordpress Dashboard, then selecting the "Security" tab and unticking Check Oxygen's shortcodes for a valid signature before executing., then clicking on Save Changes.
• Edit the page on the regular Wordpress edit page screen, expanding the + Shortcodes option, and manually editing the [oxy_tabs_2 ct_options='{ ... "active_tab_class":"my-active-tab-classname"}'] shortcode to use the name of the class which should be applied only to the active tab in the tab set.

It works, but is rather painful!
