Custom font support in Oxygen to save another extra plugin... #2637

Oxygen is efficient and almost a wordpress version of Webflow. Then the option to integrate native custom fonts in the builder in the right way cannot be missed.

I imagine that just like design and icon sets, you can also add Custom fonts in the settings. In a way that it works reliably, optimized for web vitalis.

It saves an extra plugin if this is part of the Oxygen toolbox! Fewer plugins...less problems.

Maybe a bonus feature for 4.0???

I'd say this is one of the weakest points in Oxygen Builder.

It's super common to have to use not so well-known fonts when building custom websites, and it can be a real pain to make it work in Oxygen. Talking about spending 1 hour or more, sometimes. Converting fonts back and forth, testing formats...

And the solution proposed in the documentation (Elegant Custom Fonts plugin) feels old and clunky. I'd expect to simply upload a font file and have it working, not having to manually add all the weights I need.

It's super weird to me that something that feels so basic is not already present in Oxygen. I understand that there are working and reliable workarounds, but even then...

The perfect solution for me would have something like a fresh, modern version of Elegant Custom Fonts integrated in the Settings Panel, so we don't bloat the Builder itself.

Hoping the team will eventually find it deserves their attention ❤️

This solution is not integrated into Oxygen, but it's also not an extra plugin. https://www.altmann.de/en/blog-en/code-snippet-integrate-custom-fonts-into-oxygen-en/ Just add the code (or import the file) into Code Snippets. Job done. All you need to do is upload whatever fonts you want into a specified folder and they show up in Oxygen. No fuss, no muss.

+1 request for this with the option to "replace the search-dropdown with a simple text input… or better even: a dropdown, like you have right now, but it saves the searched string even if it doesn't find an entry in the list."

So, it has come to 2023. I'll go for +1 on this to make Oxygen Builder even better.
