Cursive variation of font not properly loaded in builder. #3081

When loading the font Zilla Slab and setting it to cursive, the regular version of Zilla Slab is loaded and slanted. I expect Oxygen to load the Cursive variety of Zilla Slab (which is much rounder than the regular Zilla Slab).

Two days later: Problem no longer exists in sandbox. Problem persists in personal installation

Hi @Ezzevee,

In order for Google Fonts that have italic weights to work correctly, you must first add the desired font to an existing or new Font in Oxygen via Global Styles > Fonts. You can then select the desired fonts and all the desired weights for that font.

The italic font will then display correctly on the front end.

Hello Kevin,

I only want to use it in a single highlighted paragraph that is supposed to have a different font than the others. I don’t want to use it in a global style or as a default font for a heading.

Hello @Ezzevee,

Understandable. You can create a new font family in Global Styles that is neither the Text font or Display font.
