[2.2 RC1] Dynamic Featured Image doesn't work in a pseudo element #58

Describe the bug Adding a Dynamic Featured Image doesn't work on a pseudo element. It was working fine on v2.1.2

To Reproduce

  1. edit a Post that contains a featured image
  2. add a Section
  3. select the pseudo element :before
  4. change the layout : position = absolute ; top, left, right, bottom = 0
  5. For the Background Image, insert Dynamic Data / featured image

Expected behavior The background image should appear in the frontend.

What actually happens The background-image was not added in the CSS, that's why it's not visible in the frontend

Just ran into that problem and found this nearly two year old bug report. Please guys... take care of those things. Or consider an option for the community to contribute to the bug fixing process. 😔
