Hi,

In issue #450 it was already mentioned that having a tracking algorithm that can handle splitting/merging objects would be nice. Has there been any development in that direction?

Thanks for raising this. I’m not aware of any work on this in progress in the trackpy community. I can say that in the past, this kind of enhancement of the core algorithms has been done by someone who needed it for their research.
