Wishlist: Move configs to .config, please? #32

Would you please move the configuration files from ~/.terminator to ~/.config/terminator or ~/.config/jessies-terminator? Most of my other programs put their configs in that directory.

Where did this .config idea come from? Looks like https://specifications.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/basedir-spec-latest.html so from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedesktop.org. That doesn't appear to be explicitly Linux-based, though it does look quite Linux-centric.

I have been working a lot in my ~/.config directory lately, and then was looking around my $HOME directory because I was thinking of moving a few things around. However, my home directory is a mess with some programs putting their configuration files directly there instead of in ~/.config where I believe they belong, in my opinion at least. To me it would be tidier if all programs used the same place to put their user configuration files. Since it is my opinion, I just wish for the change, hence "wishlist" in the subject. My OS is Debian 10 with XFCE 4.12.5.
