Decide when (and where) to have DevTricks #20

A suggestion was to have it on the 3rd Monday night of each month instead of coworking. Mahtay should work for now but probably not once it gets busy after the summer.

AFAIK we're holding DevTricks on the 3rd Monday of each month, 7 pm, at Furi in downtown St. Catharines.

Around September we may have to look for a new location because Furi is relocating? /cc @tmadej

No issues with continuing on with this for the foreseeable future. I will still have access to the theatre as well as be able to utilize our space with a presentation screen in our space, with the priority in the respective order. I'll make sure it's booked. Could you confirm the next 4 dates?

  2. Mon, Sep 16
  3. Mon, Oct 21
  4. Mon, Nov 18

Would anyone like to re-confirm these dates?

@tmadej can you confirm we have the theatre booked for August 19th as well as the other dates?

@knicklabs @controlz remember that coworking in Montebello park and I said I would try to add DevTricks to the SN calendar? I forgot to mention earlier that I wasn't able to. I only have view permissions on my dennis@softwareniagara calendar.

Slightly off-topic but related: Adding the events to my dennis@softwareniagara calendar was tricky. I had to use the calendar address softwareniagara.com_22de4g20s269491k128h37cvug@group.calendar.google.com, because the button on our website to add the events to your calendar would add them to my default calendar under ideler.dennis@gmail.

Guys,

DevTricks on the for the rest of the year will be in FueledMinds (same address, same floor) due to a scheduling conflict (there is a Brock class in the theatre, which takes priority). Avi will have a projector and projector screen provisioned for speakers. @controlz, could we rely on your projector as a backup?
