Secure venue for the event #31

Is there any update on this? Did the campsite get back to you?

Sorry, I have nothing on this yet. I've been a bit swamped lately.

No worries, I know what that is like. Perhaps the camp site might be best to pull off next summer when we have a larger following.

Fresco's is always a good fallback if the college or university doesn't pan out this time.

What day were we thinking of? I could probably pull something off. I just secured the space for the Startup Kids screening at Brock (see: http://startupkidsniagara.eventbrite.com).

Also, we need to move the date for DevTricks in September because it resides on the same date as the Startup Kids event. Could we have it the following Monday?

@controlz Agreed about putting the camp site off until the new year. It's too down to the wire to make that happen at this point I think. I will reconnect with college though on Tuesday and see what is happening there.

@atomek what are you thinking in terms of venue? Would love the help. I saw that you got the Startup Kids screening pulled together. Heard about in the Innovate Niagara newsletter that went out. Congrats on that. I signed up already.

Re: DevTricks would love for others to weigh in on how we want to handle that. I'm okay with moving it, but I just wonder if it might be better to cancel it due to the many other events happening in September. Thinking out loud here.

I too thought of cancelling DevTricks for September, I'm okay with it.

@tmadej Startup Kids looks good, nice job of putting that together.

I'm also okay with cancelling the upcoming DevTricks. BTW, the SWN calendar still doesn't show DevTricks events.

Consensus on IRC was to cancel, sadly. Next up in October and its on the calendar.

Okay, I misunderstood what was meant with "thrown out" as mentioned in IRC.
