Project Meetings #15

All, We are considering changing the meeting schedule to an every other week schedule to allow you all more time experimenting and meeting among yourselves, and also keeping the schedule to the same day and time each meeting. The GitHub discussions seem to be coming along and offering up lots of valuable discussion.

Are Thursday afternoons at 2pm EST good for the group or do we need to try and find another day and time that works better for everyone? Will dropping the Tuesday meeting exclude anyone from being able to meet? If I need to do a formal poll I will, but hopefully we can sort this out informally. Thank you!

Thursday 2pm works for me. Given the expected re-structuring, however slight, I would prefer we have a chance to communicate as a team at least once a week.

Thursdays are good for me. I find that it is easy to lose momentum if the meetings are every other week. Having weekly meetings, even if they are shorter, would be my vote.

Thursdays are good for me too. I also support weekly meeting. As we progress, each group's topics will overlap each other and team progress will impact the others - a sync is highly valuable. During those meetings, I feel we also need to go beyond just sharing status and have group decisions taking place to have alignment.

Thursday 2pm is good for me. I am fine with either weekly or biweekly meeting schedule.

I think weekly is best to keep communication going. Written communication can be at times ambiguous so "person to person" discussion in a virtual meeting will definitely help keep us moving forward.

Thank you everyone for your feedback! It looks like keeping the meetings weekly on Thursdays at 2pm EST will be the best thing to keep the project going and keep everyone connected. Jessica will be cancelling the Tuesday meetings and scheduling new Thursday meetings on those weeks.

Our next meeting will be this Thursday where we will hear quick updates from the groups that have them and we can discuss the proposed path forward. Thursday August 20, the meeting will start at 230pm EST to accommodate the CDB SWG meeting that starts at 1pm EST.
