Basic questions (sorry if they were answered last week when I missed the meeting):

What is the steering committee?
What is their role in this prototyping effort?
How does that role differ from the group of SME's chosen to participate here?

The last bullet on the last slide from today's weekly meeting is: "Thus we believe we need to take an "archive" driven approach as our primary approach". The bullet is bolded. The statement starts with 'thus' [def: as a result or consequence of]. It seems like the steering committee is expressing an important change or distinction to 'the primary approach' of the Workshop effort. During the discussion, Kevin and Jay more or less said they didn't see it as a change. May I ask the steering group to please be very explicit (possibly slightly more verbose) about how this statement should be converted to action by the workshop participants?
