It would be really useful if it were possible to use the Excel Connector for 
users where SAML authentication is in use.

Not sure how this will work unless the office toolkit is revised to use SAML.

I have SSO as well and am getting a 5103 exception. We have a custom login site 
though .. Any ideas for a workaround?

http://hp.my.salesforce.com is our URL but use a digital badge to login. I got 
the Admins to reset my PW but still nothing :(

1. login with normal soap url
2. failure
3. login with hp.my. .. soap url
4. failure
5. the url for my report in SF
