@ldesousa, happy to merge this, let me know when done. We should probably mention also the ISO19115 and ISO19157 models, which are referred to elsewhere. Wondering the same about the Datacite schema and schema.org/Dataset ontology.

My contribution is restricted to the Semantic Web (W3C standards). I am not as familiar with the other models you mention.
