8 years ago Unfortunately, Google Translate seems to use the American notation exclusively, while the IPA notation is used in dictionary items of Google Search, but that is just a different product separated from Translate.

Is it possible to display IPA pronunciation? Altough on translate.google.com, there is used the same pronunciation as in translate-shell, but in google.com's define:word the IPA is used.
