Talked to @Shchvova yesterday, I found out that we can use personal plugins locally, no need to host them on corona servers. For future readers, add your plugin to the Solar2DPlugins file on the computer, with the publisherId and data.tgz gzipped file inside the platforms used directories in the plugin files, or just add your .jar file to AndroidResources in the project folders and specify the URL of supportedPlatforms on build.settings. Simulator will pick it up when you build. If I am correct, need to add stub files to the Corona Plugins folder to make simulator see them tho.
