There's an issue with the 1.0.4 error reporting code. I'll upload a version to
this issue shortly here and you can tell me what it says.

Only mine stops at different places each time... I think.

Wonder if there's any chance of an update on this issue? I'm still happy to
provide feedback or an error report as I know of at least a couple of discs
which reproduce this problem consistently (MySims and Iron Man).

Did you try the version I linked to above?

I haven't had a chance to try it with a known disc that failed every time. I
hope to do so this weekend and I'll let you know the results.

Well the one I linked to should fix the problem.

Joostinonline's version did fix the "Motor Off" problem. But, dumping still
terminates at the same point with a different error message. Now it says,
"UnRecoverd Read Error".
Wii Sports Resort is the only game that I own that doesn't successfully rip.
The disc is in good condition - better than some of the others.

I have tried several games, Super Mario Bro's, Super Mario Galaxy2, Lego
Indiana Jones and I get the "Motor Off" error with 1.0.4 and "UnRecoverd Read
Error" with Joostinonline's version. Is there a reliable dump tool that other
people use? I'd like to get my games on a USB HDD.

Just about every loader will do it. I suggest Configurable USB Loader. Just
stick the game in and press +.

I also have this issue (if it still hasn't been fixed in a different release).
I'm using v1.0.4, and it looks like if i power cycle my wii and start over the
disc will actually read through (Had quite a few so far that do this, maybe
2/5, and cycling for whatever reason fixes it). Just adding my 2-cents. If
you'd like me test with anything let me know.

I attempted nitemare's workaround several times and unfortunately, it does not
work for me.
If power cycling one's Wii actually fixes this problem for some, it seems as if
this might be a hardware issue. Maybe the drive only works successfully under
the conditions afforded it by a clean power state? Just a thought :)

I wish it were a hardware issue, however I have a brand new drive after it
failing once already. I've actually just swapped to using usbloader_gx's method
of ripping which works perfectly fine and also dumps wbfs files instead of isos.
