how to install in ubuntu #5

As part of my bioinformatics training i m required to install a program called 
Bio hal ( http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21327165  source code from here -  
 http://sourceforge.net/projects/bio-hal/ ) which uses the alignment tool 
version ProtTest 1.2.6. Could you please let me know from where i can get the 
version ProtTest 1.2.6 for the ubuntu system.

Even though i had downloaded ProtTest2.4, I cannot find the way to install the 
same.

ProtTest versions previous to 3.0 are out of date and no longer supported. 
However, none of them require further installation than uncompressing the 
binary packages, since it is a Java application. You can find the documentation 
related to ProtTest 3 in the wiki section or in the README file of the 
distribution, and many things there also apply to previous versions.
