Can you please link to each decision that went into constructing that agenda? All discussions through solidproject chats/emails... who from the Solid Team was involved, who had access to the information (and when)... who appointed certain people to host etc.. where is all that recorded?
This particular 2023-06-28 event being organised " exactly how it was organized in the past following the same values" is precisely the problem that's acknowledged by the Solid Team. And the understanding of the Solid Team is that there needs to be a lot more openness/transparency before it can be claimed that Solid Team organised Solid World under solidproject.org.
You may not be aware of deep and long running issues pertaining to open and transparency of Solid World. Here is one meeting where the Solid Team had been discussing: https://github.com/solid/team/blob/main/meetings/2023-05-03.md#proposal-organize-solid-world and here is another.. https://github.com/solid/team/blob/main/meetings/2022-11-09.md#solid-world-submissions ... and another going back to https://github.com/solid/team/blob/main/meetings/2021-11-10.md#marrelle-activity .. with the same recurring theme. Dig into the minutes if you like. And here is a PR https://github.com/solid/process/pull/321 that's attempting to set things in the right direction.
@csarven I wonder what prompted this reaction? What has changed in the organization of this event to make you reject this change. To my knowledge, it was organized exactly how it was organized in the past following the same values. Conversations took place on the gitter channel. Requests were made from the community to have a presentation (very interesting one, btw) included. And they were included. Jackson, a Solid Team member is hosting it.
So exactly was expected?
