XDG_SESSION_TYPE changes from wayland to X11 #11

After running the script I notice that the that the XDG_SESSION_TYPE turns to X11.

Since I didn't see anything that should directly cause this change (and since the consensus seems to be on Wayland as more secure) it must have happened inadvertently due to permissions or something else.

Can you please confirm which immutable spin you are using, and whether you're on Fedora 38 or 39?

Is it still possible to manually change to a Wayland session on the login screen?

@solidc0re I'm running Fedora VERSION="39.20240202.0 (Silverblue)"

No, I chose GNOME on the login screen, still has XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11

Can also confirm that the uninstall scrip turns it back to wayland without any further user interaction

Thanks for getting back to me and for confirming that the uninstall script returns it to normal.

I'll see if I can locate the exact cause in due course. Can't promise any timescales at present - my schedule is packed over the coming weeks, but I hope to be able to find a spare hour or two to work on this. Will be in touch.
