The Portal/Client side can/should probably continue on with what it has. It is a small set of code and any tweaks could have other consequences to our customers.
The Admin side is entirely in our control and its size means any extra maintenance costs are heavier. Resolving this issue means upgrading all yarn packages to be the latest stable version that we can get them to.
BONUS: Remove the need to switch Node versions from Platform UI for working in the Admin section.
