Ask for server on OPEN #604

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.have 2 server in the list
2.one be offline, other online
3.open remotegui with default to offline server(last server used)
4.see that the gui hang until timeout

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
hang for couple second. wish we it could ask which server you want to connect 
to first!

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
4.0.3

in 5.0.1 is hangs like that for more than a couple seconds. i'd say close to 30.

happens twice on loading.

it happens once, then the timeout popup, then click ok and it happens again and 
another timeout popup.

That's unnecessary, or rather, misleading to click the ok button and have the 
procedure run again. it shouldn't. i would change the ok button to retry or 
cancel.

it would also be great to be able to tell it how long to wait for the timeout.
