Delete icon metaphor #114

Maybe this is just me, but the current delete icon's metaphor is totally
lost on me.
The red, strike-through circle, as far as I know, is used for things that
are forbidden. Like a 'no smoking' or a 'no parking' sign. I don't see the
link with deletion?

I think Tango's paper shredder, or GNOME's trash can, or an eraser are all
much better, clearer metaphors for the delete action.

I'm currently using a modified version of what the future gnome-icon-theme will
use
for deleting. This helps integration with metaphors and other actions that may
be
used in future GNOME releases.

However, you can still delete the icons or replace them. The icon theme will
inherit
whichever delete icons your gnome-icon-theme has, or the ones you replace them
for.
