Black trowel in Ubuntu Software Store #117

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

I'm not sure this is something you can do anything about, but in Karmic's
Software Store application, the trowel is shown black.
It is the only icon that is rendered incorrectly, so maybe there's a clue?

I'll have to test this thoroughly. It may be caused by the rendering engine or
maybe
even residual definitions in that SVG.

I tested it, and I can confirm it. I couldn't really find anything wrong with
the SVG
itself, though... There was no blur or any other unsupported feature that might
cause
this.

It also happens for the similar icon in Karmic's new default theme, "Humanity",
so it
might just be the software application that's causing it - rather than the icon
itself.

I'm marking this as invalid.

The icon itself renders fine elsewhere, it appears to be a sofware-center bug,
and
after reading a related bug - it appears to happen due to poor webkit svg
rendering.

The related bug that mentions this issue is this one:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/437431

Note that this happens as well with the default icon set for Ubuntu Karmic, so
it is
not specific to gnome-colors.
