iPod Touch Icon #88

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Plug an iPod touch
2. Look at its icon on the desktop (considering that desktop configuration
allows the appearance of icon)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
An iPod Touch Icon (or at least an iPod one)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
GNOME-Colors 4.3

Please provide any additional information below.

I already include iPod icons. Perhaps something else is making a camera icon
appear?
Can you quickly test with Human or GNOME icon sets just for a minute and see if
a
camera also appears with those icon sets?

It appears on any variant

If it appears on GNOME and Human as well, then it has nothing to do with the
icon
set. It just means GNOME or Linux itself use the camera icon for iPods unless
some
other workaround I'm not aware of exists.

Just for reference, the only camera icons included in gnome-colors are these:
-applets-screenshooter
-camera
-camera-photo
-camera_unmount
-gnome-screenshot

Those are all camera icons, and also used by such in gnome-icon-theme. Your iPod
should use one of the following:
-gnome-dev-ipod
-ipod_mount
-multimedia-player
-music-player

If it doesn't, then perhaps you want to file a bug with the module involved
with ipod
handling in bugzilla and see how well supported iPod touch is.
