ODK Survey 2.0 ALPHA rev 102 - downloading forms takes "forever" #744

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.hit "get blank form"
2.a popup window: "connecting to server. Please wait a few moments" appears
3.This doesn't disappear until I cancel or I hit the timeout (Android asks me 
if I would rather terminate it or wait )

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It gives a list of 5 forms from the sample form after I hit the cancel button. 
I expect the popup window to disappear after getting the list of forms.

I have no problems downloading all 5 sample forms.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
ODK Survey 2 Alpha r 102.

Please provide any additional information below.

Confirmed. 

The please-wait dialog doesn't drop like it should.

Once the data appear the user must manually cancel the dialog then choose the 
forms to download.
