Drupal is almost a dead project but we started on it as alternative to Wordpress.
Ghost is a relatively new project with solid funding and acceptable support.
We moved for enjoy a modern and sustainable architecture and we just passed away from PHP and old libraries.
The blog now looks way better and it's faster and more secure:
