The issue is NOT resolved. It still doesn't work in 4.0.275.0 (Developer Build
34937). Please re-open and let's work to fix it.
With 1.3.0 I get the following error:

OK, may you disable and then enable the extension from the Extension Manager
and tell
me if the problem still unresolved?

I upgraded to 4.0.284.0 (Developer Build 35329). The error is gone, but the
proxy still
doesn't work. It looks as if there's no proxy at all.

If you activated 'Auto Switch Mode' please be sure that you've configured the
Switch
Rules properly (Options > Switch Rules tab).
Anyway you can use this page to test if your proxy is anonymous or not
(http://www.samabox.com/projects/chrome/switchy/ip.php).

I didn't activate 'Auto Switch Mode'. The problem is that the proxy is NOT
switched in,
i.e. the connection goes NOT go through the proxy.

OK, open Chrome Proxy Settings window (Chrome Oprions > Under the Hood) and
check if
the proxy is set properly.

Yes, the proxy is set. Also, since this setting is common with IE, when I open
IE, I
can see that it indeed uses the proxy. But NOT Chrome!

- It seems as an issue with Chrome itself, try downgrading Chrome to v4.0.266.0
and
it's work well.
- To check if the problem is from Switchy or Chrome, disable Switchy and try
setting
the proxy manually and tell me if it works.

OK, problem found:
I've been using the --proxy-pac-url command switch with the proxy automatic
configuration file. When this option is in use, apparently Chrome disregards
the system
proxy settings.

Nice, but may verify that Switchy works in Chrome 4.0.284.0?
Will mark it as closed now.
