Whatnshould I do?

Sorry, I'm unsure how to help without having direct access to your machine.

One thought is that something might be choking on the 機 symbol. What is the 'Pro Tools' device? Is there a way to disable that and try to boot again?

Downloaded an application called Cyril today. Finished reviewing all the documentation. Ran into an issue when playing with this code (from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQAaeBiEK90)

background white rotate tile 3,3,3 color 255*fft(50), 0,100 scale wave(100)+fft(10) box 1,1,1 end

After running ▲, got an error message: SONIC PI BOOT ERROR. To rectify this issue:

-removed Cyril Beta 6 + Sonic Pi applications -first, only reinstalled SPi v2.10 (successfully)

Hope this helps, CG

[Updated] Similar issue here. Solved it by removing the Pro Tools Aggregate I/O from macOS Audio and MIDI setup. Thought it’d be much more complicated but it was as simple as that. w00t!

Maybe the non-standard character is the key. Got the free “Pro Tools | First” installed and the name of the aggregate device is in French, with an e-acute character in the name.

SPi now works (and, in fact, Pro Tools stopped throwing an error at startup, it sounds like). Here’s the report it was giving me, beforehand.

Closing for now as this conversation appears to have waned.

Please feel free to re-open a new issue if you're still having issues with v3.1.0+. Posting the full error report will help us find a solution :-)
