Hmm it looks as if the supercollider plugins are not correct. Did you do
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
recently before your upgrade? It might be worth trying that.
Thank you for your reply! I just tried entering these commands and I'm met with the same outcome. I originally updated Sonic pi by entering -
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install sonic-pi
as per the website. Is there a command I can enter to uninstall Sonic pi and any files associated with it? Then I can just try reinstalling? Thank you for your help
sudo apt purge sonic-pi
Should uninstall it. There are other commands that may be useful if the installation is partial or corrupt. I’d also try sudo apt autoremove After the uninstall before reinstalling.
I will be releasing an install package for Raspberry Pi once version 3.2.1 is released at the beginning of April which should work as an alternative. (Via the in-thread.sonic-pi.net site)
I wonder if you have tried the .deb file to install the latest sonic Pi 3.2.2 on your Pi4 Available from http://r.newman.ch/rpi/sonic-pi-3.2.2 Make sure your Raspbian OS is up to date with
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
before installing
Closing for now due to inactivity.
We have improved our build process - especially for Raspberry Pi OS - in addition to a complete overhaul of how we boot the system.
Therefore, please feel free to re-open if this is still an issue with the recently released v4 of Sonic Pi.
Updated Sonic Pi from 2.1 to the newest 3.1, upon startup I receive the message~
Sonic Pi Boot Error
Apologies, a critical error occurred during startup:
Critical error! - Could not boot Sonic Pi Server.
And when I click "Show details" this is what I'm greeted with. Very new to this, any information helps! Thank you for your time~
Also, I am using Rpi4 if that is any useful information.
