Version 3.2.2 which is the OS repository for the Bullseye OS has problems. The version which does have some support for this OS is version 4.3 which can be downloaded from this page https://github.com/sonic-pi-net/sonic-pi/releases/tag/v4.3.0 scroll down to find links to the 32 or 64 bit versions of 4.3 for the Raspberry PI and download the binary .deb file choose the version appropriate to your OS
I would remove version 3.2.2 by typing sudo apt purge sonic-pi
in a terminal window.
Make sure your OS is up to date using sudo apt update
followed bysudo apt upgrade
You can install the new version by navigating to the downloads folder and then typing
sudo apt install ./sonic-pi_4.3.0_1_bullseye.armhf.deb
(for the 32 bit versions)
or
sudo apt install ./sonic-pi_4.3.0_1_bullseye.arm64.deb
(for the 64 bit version)
Once installed I would reboot your raspberry PI before launching Sonic Pi from the Menu entry in the Programming Section.
If you upgrade your OS in the future to the latest version of the Raspberry Pi OS based on Debian Bookworm you will need to upgrade Sonic Pi again. The latest version is 4.5 but this only works on the 64bit version of the OS IT is available on the sonic-pi.net website.
