Project Dashboard is an app that provides an overview of a project. It would be nice if the app shows some general stats like total number of commits, contributors and branches. This is done by Github as well and it is quite informative.

This is definitely something I'm going to add. I actually started work on it and had some basic stats like the ones you mentioned but dropped it to focus on other plugins that didn't require special accounts.
