What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the CSIPSimple dialler in VoIP Blocked countries.
2. Enter the IP/DNS of the SIP server along with the SIP account info.
3. Dial a number to establish a call.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A call is expected to be established. Instead the account seems to be
'Inactive'.
What version of the product are you using? On what device / operating
system?
Version r2455, Nov 30, 2014 on Samsung Duos with Android 4.4.2
Please provide any additional information below.
- Planning to configure a VPN tunnel with OpenVPN using altered port (other
than 5060)and then port-forward to the actual SIP server. Would this method be
enough to bypass this blocking? Does the CSIPSimple use SIP encryption? Or is
it simply redirecting the data to the proxy without any encryption? Could you
please advise the best practice?
