You definitely have grasped the interplay between HTML and CSS but I really recommend taking the time to review some of Codecademy's courses on HTML and CSS to reinforce concepts such as CSS Selectors, choosing between class and id attributes. I really would like to see you too start breaking up your HTML page into sections work on your indentation. A good resource to learn about best practices when it comes to HTML/CSS is to use a style guide and I recommend looking at Googles and incorporating these into your web page.
