Due to change in access control policy in Waipio, qcom_spss driver will no longer be able to mask or clear SP2SOC interrupts. Driver writes to SP2SOC registers are replaced by logic in root of trust firmware and secure process unit firmware. All the IRQs from secure processor unit are masked before root of trust entity brings the SPSS out of reset and SPSS firmware unmasks those IRQs after boot completion.
Case SPU is loaded before the driver (device boot):
before calling wait_for_completion_timeout(), explicitly check the status registers and return success if the interrupt bit is already set. Case SPU is loaded after the driver (SSR):
if wait_for_completion_timeout() was called and timed-out, explicitly check the status registers and return success if the interrupt bit is already set.
