Start typechecking pass #22

Starting a new typechecking pass. I thought it would be worthwhile having all the parser passes at least sketched out first before filling in missing features.

@sophiajt I think it's now in a working state where it can be merged and incrementally improved. I can also keep adding type checking to more nodes in this PR, but perhaps it's easier to review in this state when there are not too many changes.
