SORA is a new economic system aimed at creating a supranational, world economic system with built-in tools for decentralized finance (DeFi). The SORA network implements a new way of parachain architecture on Polkadot and Kusama network, with the capability to bridge external blockchains (like Ethereum) to the Polkadot ecosystem.
We had to nominate the council members of the SORA Kusama parachain ourselves. In an effort of decentralisation aligned with the vision for SORA we should implement the election mechanism in the SORA Kusama parachain the same way we have on the SORA mainnet.
Users could
Submit their candidacy to run for the Council (candidacy bond)
Vote for candidates to the Council on the SORA Kusama parachain
Furthermore, the Council members are actualised at regular intervals, where runners up with more tokens (XOR) bonded than current council members replace the incumbents.
