Wiiflow v1.1 r25 Black Screen #79

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
I had this issue reported but for some unexpected (and still unexplained)
reason my ticket was closed.

http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/issues/detail?id=75

I have tried just about everything I can think of and am wondering if this
is an issue related to my external.

I would appreciate if anyone can shed some light.

I would suggest that you try another USB device and see if you get the same
black
screen results.

Same result.

Setup I used:
Wiiflow v25 222 loaded from 8GB SDHC
WBFS on 4GB SDHC using USB adapter

I will attempt to partition and format the 4GB USB and see if same problem
arises.

If you are still getting black screens with other USB devices there must be a
problem with your Wii set up?

I cannot think of anything to change though, I have the latest system menu with
all
the latest IOS's all patched and updated with DOP-IOS Mod.

cIOSCORP has been removed prior to IOS updates, and my system seems to have all
Trucha bugs in tact. I even added BootMii and have the latest HBC.

Not to mention NeoGamma happens to work!

If anyone would create a version with debug output, I would be more than happy
to run it.
I've found other people on forums reporting similar issues and would love to
get this
fixed.

I just tried Configurable USB Loader v48 and it works flawless with both disk
(4GB
and 1TB My Book).

I do happen to like Wiiflow much more though. :(

How are you launching WiiFlow? It is from a channel or from HBC?

You said in a previous thread that you could not get USB Loader GX and another
loader to run from your drive - do they now work?

Original comment by burrellb...@googlemail.com on 7 Dec 2009 at 8:36

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Running from HBC, and no USB Loader GX still does not work.

I have now discovered WiiFloader works, and if this issue cannot be resolved I
will
be forced to switch. :(

Wiiflow and WiiFloader are quite similar (based on same code to begin), but
Wiiflow
looks more refined. (personal opinion)

skhameneh:

please try download a program called partition wizard home edition 4.2 if you
are
using windows. it is free. try for debug purposes to setup a usb device with
only two
partition. setup both as primary (a must) first one as fat second as wbfs. then
put
on one or two games. copy your needs files to the other fat partition. I would
assume
by now that you know what the file structure should look like on the fat
partition
but if not then here goes. Lets say drive letter is "F" then an example would
be as
follows:

f:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol
f:\apps\wiiflow\icon.png
f:\apps\wiiflow\meta.xml
f:\wiiflow\boxcovers\
f:\wiiflow\covers
f:\wiiflow\cache
f:\wiiflow\themes\carbonik
f:\wiiflow\themes\carbonik.ini
f:\wiiflow\language.ini
f:\wiiflow\titles.ini
f:\wiiflow\wiiflow.ini

@skhameneh: is this still an issue? If so, can you try r39? It has a completely
rewritten wbfs system. If you do not use wiiflow anymore, also respond, so we
can
close this issue.

Thank you for replying to this post; I would not have received your message
otherwise.
I have not been using WiiFlow, but I will make an attempt within the next few
days
and see if my issue has been solved.

Thanks

I tried both versions of r49 and neither work.
I even used the same options as Wii CoverFlow (using ios 222 for example).
http://code.google.com/p/wiicoverflow/

All I get is a blank screen after the game loading screen. (no green/pink/white
screen flicker like loaders that work either)

I have system 4.2 & Hermes cIOS v5 & HBC 1.0.6
