A method/visual component to load a small window showing the animated
banner for the game that is selected?

Perhaps also show the disc spinning into say a tv tube graphic like on the wii 
that 
shows the animated banner of the game.

Yes, this request is insane. Everybody knows that banner loading is either not 
done yet, or that it's in very early stages. 

Also, wiiflow is a loader which has coverflow as main component. There is no 
visual gain in adding a "small window" with the animated banner. If animated 
banners are complete by the homebrew scene, we will look into this. For now, 
don't expect this to be implemented.
